Marcus is designed to help users manage work across email, calendar, meetings, and tasks. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the limits we place on ourselves when handling connected account data.

Information we collect

We may collect information about you in a variety of ways, including:

• Authentication credentials

• Device information and identifiers

• Location information (with your permission)
• Calendar and email data (with your permission)

Third-Party Integration Data:

• Google account information (when you connect Google services)
• Microsoft account information (when you connect Microsoft services)
• Apple ID information (when you sign in with Apple)
• Slack workspace data (when you connect Slack)

How we use data

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve our services.
• Process your authentication and account management.
• Communicate with you about the app.
• Analyze usage patterns to enhance user experience.
• Provide AI-powered features and insights, such as summarization, prioritization, and drafting assistance.
• Integrate with third-party services you authorize.

How Google user data is handled

Marcus's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

We do not sell, rent, or trade Google user data. When Marcus processes Gmail or Calendar information, it is used only to deliver the features the user requested. Google user data is never used for advertising, ad targeting, retargeting, or interest-based advertising of any kind.

Limited data may be sent to the following trusted sub-processors solely to perform the work you requested:

• OpenAI, Anthropic, Google AI — AI processing for summarization, drafting, and prioritization features. These providers process data transiently and are contractually prohibited from retaining or using your data for any other purpose.
• Firebase (Google Cloud) — Secure storage of minimal cached metadata (e.g. email subjects, dates, sender names) scoped to your account for app performance. This data is deleted when you disconnect your Google account.

Legal Requirements:

• We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority.

What we do NOT do:

• We do not sell your Google user data to any third parties.
• We do not share your data with advertisers or marketing companies.
• We do not use your data for targeted advertising, retargeting, or interest-based advertising.
• We do not transfer your data to data brokers or information resellers.
• We do not use your data for purposes other than providing and improving Marcus AI functionality.

Your Google user data is only accessed when you actively use Marcus AI features and is used exclusively to provide the services you have requested.

Data retention and deletion

We retain your data only for as long as necessary to provide the service. Cached Google account data is deleted when you disconnect your integration. You may request full deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at info@cettechventure.com. Deletion requests are processed within 30 days.

Security and storage

We use secure cloud infrastructure, scoped authentication, and encrypted transport where appropriate. No internet-based system can guarantee absolute security, but Marcus is built around least-privilege access and backend-owned provider credentials for stronger operational control.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@cettechventure.com. If you are in the EU or California, additional rights may apply under GDPR or CCPA respectively.

Children's privacy

Marcus is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Third-party services

Our app integrates with third-party services including:

• Google (Gmail, Calendar)
• Microsoft (Outlook, Calendar)
• Apple (Sign In with Apple)
• Slack
• OpenAI, Anthropic, and other AI service providers

When you connect these services, you are subject to their respective privacy policies. We only access the data necessary to provide our services and in accordance with the permissions you grant.
